When Utz Snacks came to Allebach, sales were down 7% in their core market. They were also perceived as an “old snack brand.” alongside much more contemporary snack brands.
We worked with Utz in consumer research to develop and test a new brand platform.
In 2014 we relaunched the Utz brand with a 360 degree path to purchase marketing program, and an entirely new website and digital platform.
Within a year’s time, Utz was up 4% in their core (an 11 point swing), and expanded into completely new markets. Today, Utz is the largest privately held snack company in the country and the fourth largest overall snack brand.
