The Takata airbag recall is a global safety crisis affecting 19 automakers. The hot, humid conditions in Puerto Rico make it an especially volatile environment and traditional corporate marketing wasn’t working. Toyota wanted a powerful, visually-driven campaign to communicate the danger a faulty airbag inflator poses to compel drivers to get the free repair. This campaign did the trick.
