As a young, collaborative and nimble agency, we seek employees who can make an impact from day one. So every hire is essential. That goes for summer interns too. In order to recruit cultural fits and sway top-notch intern candidates away from larger agencies, we took a different approach to recruiting our summer intern class. Instead of requesting CVs and resumes, Solve built a miniature version of our collaborative office space and took it on the road to college campuses.
The pop-up stunt was called the 5-Minute Internship and gave prospective interns the opportunity to work on a variety of quick agency tasks for real Solve clients during a five-minute try out.
Trade and campus press latched onto the idea, driving three times more applicants than Solve’s average. It produced a great class of summer interns and even led to some full-time hires.
