The Thomson Reuters Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Thomson Reuters. Each year the Foundation holds the Trust Conference, an event committed to finding real solutions to their three primary causes: fighting slavery, empowering women and advancing human rights. TBWA worked with the Foundation to focus on the fight against modern slavery.

Slavery wasn’t abolished decades ago. In fact, it’s worse today than ever before in history. There are more than 45 million people enslaved that we know of. So we use the social phenomena of Unboxing to tell the truth about modern slavery.

We produced high-end custom products and packaging for three Unboxings — shoes, headphones and makeup — that featured the hidden facts of modern slavery in these industries and their respective global supply chains.
