www.theescapepod.com Imagine how excited we were in 2015 to get the assignment to come up with the name and logo design for a new Irish whiskey. From scratch. A clean slate. And the sky is the limit. No mandatories beyond the fact that it be an Irish whiskey. And because the alcoholic spirits market is so image intensive, there was a bit of pressure too.
So we took the pressure off of the actual naming and design part by spending a lot of time clearly defining areas we thought could yield a strategic advantage for a new brand of Irish whiskey.
And we asked ourselves ‘what things are we currently working on in the alcoholic spirits category and what might we learn from them?' It really helps if your brand owns a distinct design vibe or aesthetic. And having a brand back story really helps too.
