PresidentJon is President of Duffy & Shanley, a synchronized marketing communications firm that has built a reputation for delivering unexpected solutions and unmatched results. As President of the agency, Jon oversees consumer public relations, public affairs and social media marketing teams for clients like Staples, Foster Grant, Deepwater Wind, Taste of Nature, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation and United Natural Foods (UNFI). He is chartered with leading the agency's efforts in progressive marketing initiatives. Before becoming President of Duffy & Shanley in 1999 he had served as Vice President of Business Development and years earlier, as an account executive. He previously resided in Los Angeles where he was Director of Marketing at Westwood Sports Marketing Group and National Accounts Director at PSP Sports Marketing. At PSP he was responsible for all West Coast sales activity, developing sports marketing programs for companies like Nike, Microsoft, Sony Playstation, Honda and The Gap. Jon graduated from Georgetown University where he earned a BSBA. He is active in the community, serving as Board Chair of Trinity Repertory Company and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he serves as the co-chair of Special Olympics Rhode Island's Capital Campaign. He is also a graduate of the 1998 Leadership Rhode Island Class. He is a past President of Advertising Club of Rhode Island.
Partner/Chief Creative OfficerA partner of Duffy & Shanley, Peter oversees all agency creative teams. In addition, he provides hands-on creative for most campaigns including Deepwater Wind, North Shore Medical Center, Summer Infant, University Orthopedics and East Boston Savings Bank. Peter’s work has been honored with Clio, Andy and Hatch awards. His creative work has also been honored by the financial services, travel & tourism, economic development, utility, fashion and healthcare industries. He is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design and Syracuse University.
Partner/VP, Public RelationsAnnette leads the award-winning consumer practice for Duffy & Shanley, focusing on creating powerful campaigns that help build, communicate and differentiate leading brands. With clients like Foster Grant, AT&T, Staples and Brahmin, Annette creates innovative publicity programs that cut through the clutter and effectively target diversified audiences. With more than 15 years of agency experience, Annette has deep relationships with media and key influencers, and develops break-through programs for brands and their products. Her expertise in national consumer media relations, strategic brand management, cause marketing initiatives, and unique social media campaigns brings credible value and integrity to the Duffy & Shanley team. Annette’s team is recognized as one of the leading agencies in the retail and products and services industries, as well as their efforts marketing to moms.
Partner/Creative DirectorAs Creative Director, Michael is responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency's creative product and has led notable campaigns for Staples, Foster Grant, IronPlanet and others. He's worked with brands like Nike, Burton and P.E.T.A., and has served as a creative consultant to Coca-Cola's Sprite brand, but is most proud of a kid video, an aluminum running baton, and some hospital bracelets that have helped keep a whole bunch of people out of the hospital.
Partner/VP, MediaKaren supervises all media duties at the agency from small local buys to multi-million-dollar national campaigns. She is considered one of the foremost media planners and negotiators. Her skills have provided agency clients with millions of dollars in documented savings outpacing the bottom-line results of billion-dollar agencies according to Advertising Age. Karen’s past experience includes both agency and in-house agency work.
