Ibotta, the leading free cash back app, partners with independent creative agency TDA Boulder, to launch a smart and impactful ad campaign aimed at building brand awareness and driving users to the app. The campaign, titled "Money Sampling," rebrands Ibotta's cash back product as "free money," providing consumers with a direct and enticing incentive to download and engage with the app. The "Money Sampling" spot captures genuine reactions of real grocery shoppers receiving samples of free money (vs food products) inside an actual grocery store. The use of hidden cameras adds authenticity, addressing the too-good-to-be-true skepticism often associated with cash back offers. Headquartered in Denver, Ibotta has allowed American shoppers to earn over $1.5 billion through its Ibotta Performance Network since 2012. Through partnerships with more than 2,700 brands and retailers, Ibotta provides consumers with real cash for everyday purchases, both in-store and online. The platform allows users to easily cash out through PayPal, their bank account, or gift cards. "People are feeling the pinch right now and we wanted to highlight just how real the cash back offers on Ibotta are through the Money Sampling campaign,” stated Rich Donahue, CMO, Ibotta. “Ibotta offers cash back on thousands of items each day. No miles, no points...real cash that can help you cover groceries or bills, and it's not too good to be true, it's Ibotta." The "Money Sampling" campaign targets primary household grocery shoppers across the country, aiming to dispel skepticism surrounding the concept of free money. TDA Boulder strategically crafted a :30/:15/:06 version of the brand spot in both English and Spanish, running nationally to reach a diverse audience.
