Nancy Aresu
President
Over the years, Nancy has worked in a breadth of categories – including finance, retail, luxury goods, health/beauty and traditional packaged goods. Some of her past clients have included Unilever, Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson, KFC, Dannon and Godiva Chocolatier. She has won Effies for marketing effectiveness and has been recognized by Forbes as running one of “The Top 100 Places to Work in NYC.” -
David Bernstein
Chief Creative Officer
During his tenure at The Gate, David has won over 75 industry awards and, through an odd twist of fate, co-wrote a bestselling business book. A print ad he wrote for the agency caught the eye of Disney’s Hyperion Books and resulted in Death to all Sacred Cows. -
Eric van den Heuvel
Managing Director, The Gate | Media
Eric’s passion for all things media is based on his desire to know “what works” – plus, he can’t write or draw to save his life, with the exception of “Hangman.” For over 15 years, he’s gotten the kind of measurable results that have wowed big-ticket advertisers like American Express, Godiva and Con Edison. He joined The Gate/New York from Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners, where he started one of the first full-service interactive media groups in the advertising business. Among his more visible successes was the launch of About.com, which closely integrated Internet and traditional media channels — a novel program prior to 1998. While managing the agency’s key accounts with his media team, Eric is also evolving the agency’s media practice with an eye toward the next 10 years as we push into a data-driven, device-centric, interactive world of communications. Eric lives in Connecticut with his wife and their two sons, where he spends his time planning weekend sports schedules and negotiating use of the TV remote control.
