Since our founding in 1994 by members of the LGBTQ community, Upshot has set out to create a creative agency fueled by cultural curiosity and a progressive mindset. In fact, 6 of the 8 members of our executive leadership team identify as female or a member of the minority community.

We are proud to be one of a select group of agencies to participate in BLAC: Building Leaders and Creators, an internship program focused on bringing more Black talent to the advertising industry.

Liz serves on Upshot's leadership team and serves as liaison to Upshot's partnership with BLAC: Building Leaders and Creators.

    Brian’s leadership has always lived at the intersection of strategy and creative. He believes that heightened consumer expectations and ever-changing marketplace dynamics require blurring the lines of traditional strategic and creative thinking. To accomplish this, he developed a unique agency exploratory philosophy called divergent creativity. As part of the senior planning and strategy group, he helps teams and clients look to the fringe and close-in of consumer mindsets, cultural influences, and trends—all with the lens of fueling the most dynamic and impactful creative campaigns.
