After being denied a heart transplant by other hospitals due to her age and complexity, 74-year-old Phyllis Weissblum felt she was being sent home to die. NYULH welcomed her, and Phyllis had a successful heart transplant surgery after just 2 days on the waitlist. We created a film to tell her story, celebrate her 75th birthday, and get her more hearts (likes) after no other hospital would give her one, to show just how impactful NYULH could be.
